The first interaction was at a helmet shop wherein he was introduced as the founder of a riding group that with a very interesting name.
Nevertheless the motorcycling multiverse is a single universe and you meet people and become friends in time. Yes, indeed that is the magic when two motorcyclists meet on the road -pleasantries are exchanged amongst strangers. In conversation with Bharat Vatsa, a Multifaceted motorcyclist and entrepreneur we connected with him on the occasion of the launch of his book “Echoes of Imagination” at the Bikers Club Tere Sheher Mein 2.0 – Mega Meetup.

Automotive Acquaintance – how did you become an Author & Podcaster?
Becoming an author and podcaster was not something I envisioned from the start. It was a journey that evolved organically, driven by my passion for storytelling, a curiosity for new experiences, and a desire to share insights with a broader audience.
My journey into writing began during my early days as a digital nomad. Traveling to different places, meeting diverse people, and immersing myself in varied cultures provided a treasure trove of experiences and stories. Initially, I started by journaling my travels, capturing the essence of each place and the emotions I felt. This habit not only helped me document my adventures but also honed my writing skills.
As my journaling became more detailed and structured, I realized the potential these stories held. Encouraged by friends and family, I decided to compile my experiences into a book. This led me into writing my first book Digital Nomad Lifestyle however I did not complete it and publish. While writing allowed me to share my experiences, thoughts & stories, however I felt there was more to be conveyed through conversations and real-time interactions.
During one of the challenges of Bikers Club Association…
I started publishing my online videos giving updates of the PAN INDIA rides in the news format. This realization sparked my interest in podcasting. Podcasting seemed like a natural extension of my writing. Thereby offering a platform where I could delve deeper into topics, interview interesting personalities, and share insights in a more dynamic and engaging way.
Starting a podcast was a learning curve. From understanding the technical aspects to finding my voice, it was a journey of discovery. I started by my podcast journey by:
Interviewing experts
Fellow nomads and
individuals with inspiring stories
Simply put, I just wanted my podcasts to be more meaningful and inspiring unlike others who were limited to generic topics.
It was only after running 3 seasons of my podcast, I took a break to complete my books and published them. My 2nd book, a collection of short stories “Echoes Of Imagination” – is currently listed on Amazon as of 6 July 2024.
Life before turning a Motopreneur (work/ employment) (Author & Podcaster)
Before I ventured into the world of writing and podcasting, my life was a whirlwind of exploration and varied experiences. As a digital nomad, I was constantly on the move, immersing myself in new cultures, meeting diverse people, and facing the challenges of adapting to ever-changing environments. My days were filled with onsite work due to which I was always travelling.
I was a Globetrotter, which allowed me the flexibility to travel & work but also demanded strong self-discipline and time management but mostly this became exhausting and the work schedule was monotonous. Because of this I started with my moto adventure rides across INDIA and neighbouring countries which allowed me to free my soul and break the monotonous work schedule.
The more I got into biking, the more addicted I became to Digital Nomad Lifestyle. And, I learnt that work & my passion can be balanced without impacting each other. Obviously your family support is very much needed in carrying out these passions. Without their support, it is impossible to achieve both the worlds.
Bharat Vatsa: Echoes of Imagination – The All Spark inspiration
Traveling from one place to another, I gathered a wealth of experiences and stories. These encounters with different lifestyles and perspectives not only broadened my horizons but also sparked a deep desire to share my journey with others. My early attempts at capturing these moments were through journaling and blogging, where I documented the highs and lows of my nomadic life.
Despite the excitement and freedom, there was a longing for deeper connections and a platform to express my thoughts more comprehensively. This introspective phase of my life laid the foundation for my transition into writing and podcasting. It was during this time that I realized the power of storytelling and the impact it could have on others, ultimately leading me to embark on my journey as a podcaster & an author.
The biggest spark to start podcasting and writing book came during COVID. As the world was facing this dreadful scenario, most of us in IT were working from home. Though working from home turned out to be more productive for organizations but it started taking toll on our health. It became very hectic and tiring working for 12-15 hrs daily. That was the breaking point for me. That is when I started my podcast and got into writing books. Believe me, it really helped me mentally to sustain those challenging times. And for physical sustenance, one fine day I just upgraded my bike and went on a long ride to Uttarakhand with one a fellow rider.
Bharat Vatsa: Echoes of Imagination – Spanner in the works?
Embarking on the journey to become an author and podcaster was incredibly rewarding, but it came with its fair share of challenges. I was completely unaware of technicalities involved in becoming a podcaster. This included aspects like
- Structuring your podcast
- Devices required
- How & where to record
- Edit before publishing the episodes
- The artwork, etc.
Yes, The technical aspects of podcasting were initially daunting. From understanding audio equipment and editing software to mastering the art of recording and producing high-quality episodes, there was a steep learning curve.
What was even more difficult was to find such individuals whom I could interview. I leveraged social media, networking, and collaborations to increase my reach. Engaging with my audience through regular interactions, feedback, and incorporating their suggestions helped build a loyal community. Consistency in delivering valuable and authentic content played a crucial role in retaining and growing my audience over time.
Similarly in becoming an author, I was not aware how to structure the book, where to edit and create the art work and how to publish. So I did all the research myself, kept on learning as I went ahead
The biggest challenge was Time Management – I had to balance my work, my family time and my passion. As a digital nomad, it was easy to get distracted by the allure of new destinations and experiences. So I developed a structured routine, setting aside dedicated time each day for writing and podcasting. Utilizing productivity tools and techniques helped me stay focused and productive. My project management skills really helped me in this case. Consistency became my mantra, ensuring that I made steady progress on my projects without compromising my work or travel experiences.
I also had to ensure that I stay inspired and avoid burnouts. Each of these challenges taught me valuable lessons and contributed to my growth as an author and podcaster. By staying persistent, adaptable, and open to learning, I was able to overcome these hurdles and continue pursuing my passion for storytelling and sharing experiences with the world
Bharat Vatsa: Echoes of Imagination – Beast Mode
Frankly speaking when I launched my first book, I did no preparations for the launch, no promotion. It was more of a trial run for me. The process of writing the book was a rollercoaster of emotions. There were days of creative flow where words seemed to effortlessly pour onto the pages. And then there were days of writer’s block and self-doubt. Many times I had to rewrite as I was not getting the right emotion. Once published, I started getting mixed reviews which motivated me to keep going. And that is when I thought of writing my 2nd book. The kind of reaction and feedback I got for my 2nd book is overwhelming. I never thought that I will get such a response..
The day of my 2nd book launch (Bharat Vatsa – Echoes of Imagination) was surreal. And what other day could be better to launch the book when you are amidst your biking brotherhood friends. One particularly heartwarming moment during the launch was when a biker came to me and said that he himself was an aspiring author and was truly inspired by my creativity and the book. He expressed his gratitude for the practical tips and motivational stories that might help him navigate his own journey. Hearing this reaffirmed my belief in the power of storytelling and the impact it can have on people’s lives.
My way to the highway – Bharat Vatsa: Echoes of Imagination and beyond
Currently I am working on my Podcast Season 4 of CANDID TALKS with BharatV. Where I would be talking to the veterans and sharing Voices of Valor. Other than, this I also will be starting my next writing project very soon, will unfold the details as the time comes.
